As many people know the Chicago nightlife and restaurant industry has greatly been effected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As the majority of establishments in the city close their doors - countless employees are finding themselves without work. From the front of the house to the back of the house - DJ's, bands, performers, bartenders, busboys, servers, managers, security, and more - the heart of Chicago's nightlife has been devastated by the current situation.
As a DJ in many of the clubs around the city I worry about my fellow team members during this rough time. In an effort to support industry employees out of work I have partnered with Rowboat Creative and the Creatives Who Care Initiative to help raise funds together. With the sale of each piece of @ryanrossthedj merch $19 go direct into the to the Untitled Employee Relief Fund. The rest pays for the shirt.
Rowboat Creative, a Chicago-based custom branded merchandise manufacturer whom produces merch for some of the world’s largest musicians, creatives, and designers such as Joe Freshgoods, McDonald’s, Chance The Rapper, Live Nation, Nike, etc., has launched an initiative titled “Creatives Who Care."
The Creatives Who Care Initiative not only helps keep Rowboat Creative staff employed during these uncertain times, but also reacts quickly and compassionately towards those in the service industry, music industry, and many other business entities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
